This is such a big issue for the rest of America I felt I should offer my view , It can simply be put like this , Kanye made a mockery of VMA's , himself , Taylor Swift , Beyonce , etc.... But should the penalty for his actions exceed him having to apologize on National Television , in front of millions of fans , protesters, and Media channels , I think Not. Just to Take it Further , losing talent like Kanye or any great talent in your market will in turn lose your music market entirely. I am so passionate about this topic due to actions taken in the past that in turn affects the pull of certain talent thus affecting concert promotions, commercial promotions in fall killing our hype and drive in music . In My music market now , due to affiliation , 50 cent was exiled from music play in our well known Radio station but since then , 50 or any of his ties in the music industry have not once come down to Miami . Who loses out , first and foremost the fans , second the employees of the major venues that function at concerts , and third our city , Now understand 50 cent is nowhere where he used to be but he still serves impact in our music market. For all the angry fans that think Kanye should be scolded , understand actions taken go alot further then they may seem. I urge you to continue to follow Kanye , his talent cannot be duplicated , we lost time with Michael Jackson for allegations that never were determined . Good Day and keep the music and Mind movin!!!!!!!!!!
Very well said. I agree. It's too bad he's not up for a Grammy. I think he deserves at least a nomination. Next to Wayne, and Jay Z, there's not a better lyricist out there right now. Drake is making waves, but Kanye is consistent and has tremendous versatility. Play any Jay Z, Drake or even Wayne instrumental and switch out the lyrics with another one of their songs, and it’s pretty much the same song. You can’t do that with Kayne’s material.
